For over 20 years, Dr. Alex Schillinger and the Innovation Dental Group have served O'Fallon, IL's dental needs with exemplary skill and compassion. We are excited to now operate our practice from our modern dental office. We are proud to provide the full range of general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and preventive dental services.
We provide numerous dental treatments and procedures for patients of all ages. In addition, we can support dental maintenance with check-ups, cleanings, and preventive approaches like fluoride and sealants. We also specialize in dental implants and related services such as single and full arch dental implant restorations— all at one location!

Dr. Alex Schillinger, DMD
Owner/Dentist
Dr. Schillinger has a level of training and expertise that sets him apart from most O’Fallon dentists. Dr. Schillinger is a 1999 graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation, he also completed a General Practice Residency in Advanced Dentistry at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, where he received certification in intravenous (IV) conscious sedation.
Dr. Schillinger is also a graduate of the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study, a leading Institute for the practice of comprehensive dental care, complex restorative treatments, and the treatment of Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJ). In addition, he is also a graduate of the Misch International Implant Institute.
As a respected dentist in the O’Fallon community, Dr. Schillinger continues to enhance his skills as a member of leading dental organizations, including:

- The St. Clair District Dental Society
- American Dental Society of Anesthesiologists
Finally, Dr. Schillinger has received Fellowship status in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Though he has dedicated his professional life to dental excellence, he also is devoted to his family. When not treating patients, he enjoys spending time with them.

Amy
Dental Assistant
Amy loves the variety she experiences daily as a dental assistant, and the list of her job responsibilities backs it up. She assists Dr. Schillinger by performing scans for CEREC crowns, making retainers and whitening trays. She also manages our dental equipment, sterilization, and monitors nitrous and IV sedation.
Her education includes Dental Assisting through St Louis Community College and has worked with Innovation Dental since 2007. Amy loves being hands-on but also enjoys meeting new patients, talking with them, and helping them achieve their oral health goals.
Outside our O’Fallon, IL dental office, she enjoys hiking, biking, and horseback riding.

Erin
Registered Dental Hygienist
Erin graduated from the dental hygiene program at Lewis and Clark Community College in December 2012. Her job involves numerous responsibilities like reviewing health histories, screenings, and dental cleanings. In addition, she also takes dental x-rays, applies sealants and fluoride, and discusses good oral hygiene habits with our patients.
One of her favorite things about working with patients is watching their self-confidence grow when they feel good about their smiles. She has worked with Dr. Schillinger since 2021 and loves that our team feels like a family. Erin really values how she can positively impact patients by helping their oral health, which in turn helps with their overall health. She enjoys meeting new people and learning about them and their families.
Outside dentistry, Erin stays active by playing volleyball, golfing, riding bikes, and roller skating. In addition, she wants to learn calligraphy and is captivated by sunrises and sunsets. She even has a matching sunrise tattoo with one of her best friends.
Wendy
Registered Dental Hygienist
Wendy was raised as a small-town girl in central Illinois where she was the youngest of 4 girls. It was there that she attended Parkland College and earned her Dental Hygiene degree in 1990. She has practiced dental hygiene for over 25 years. She takes pride in combining her early knowledge along with the newest technology. She enjoys creating friendships with patients, learning about their families, hobbies and favorite places to visit and travel. She has a passion for educating patients to better their oral health and give them a reason to smile. Outside of the dental office, she enjoys camping, biking, outdoor yard work and traveling.
